What is included:
Your investment includes the use of the studio space, teaching fee, and materials used during the workshop. During the workshop we will have coffee and tea available for you.
Not included: transportation to and from the workshop, overnight stays and materials purchased for your own use during the workshop. Meals.

About the workshop;
In the beautiful setting of historical Amersfoort -The Netherlands you will find the first cotton printing workshop in the Netherlands, now turned into a workshop space, Airbnb,  and a small museum.
We will have three days of learning all about traditional natural dyes and mordant pastes.
  
You will learn how to correctly prepare your fabrics and mordant them.
  
You will learn how to create vibrant colors with weld, cochineal, madder, and indigo.
  
I will teach you how to work systemically and how to make sure you have the same results over and over again.
  
You will learn how to make a mordant paste and create patterns that we will then dye in natural dyes.
  
You will create a color card with recipes to recreate at home.
Most importantly: in my workshops, we create powerful safe circles to interchange knowledge and our passion for natural dyes. Friendships are formed and our groups stay in touch long after we finish our workshop.

Location: Katoendrukkerij De Volmolen, Amersfoort - The Netherlands. This is a monumental building located in historical Amersfoort, 10 minutes walking distance from the train station and buses.
The workshop has two beautiful Airbnb rooms available for rent, and Amersfoort in general has some lovely options to stay.

Transportation:
Absolutely do not rent a car! There is a direct train from the airport to Amersfoort (30 minutes, very comfortable). We work in the inner city, all hotels within the inner city are at walking distance.  Cars are not allowed to enter there. Public transportation is easy and affordable and you can also rent a bike, if you want to venture out a bit more.
 
Over de workshop;
In de prachtige omgeving van historisch Amersfoort - Nederland vind je de eerste katoendrukwerkplaats van Nederland, nu omgebouwd tot werkplaatsruimte, Airbnb, en een klein museum.
 
Drie dagen lang leren we alles over traditionele natuurlijke kleurstoffen en bijtpasta's.
  
U leert hoe u uw stoffen correct voorbereidt en bijt.
  
Je leert hoe je levendige kleuren creëert met las, cochenille, meekrap en indigo.
  
Ik leer je hoe je systemisch te werk gaat en hoe je ervoor zorgt dat je keer op keer hetzelfde resultaat behaalt.
  
Je leert hoe je een bijtende pasta maakt en patronen creëert die we vervolgens verven met natuurlijke kleurstoffen.
  
Je maakt een kleurenkaart met recepten om thuis na te maken.
 
Het allerbelangrijkste: in mijn workshops creëren we krachtige veilige cirkels om kennis en onze passie voor natuurlijke kleurstoffen uit te wisselen. Er ontstaan vriendschappen en onze groepen blijven contact houden lang nadat we onze workshop hebben afgerond.

Vervoer:
Huur absoluut geen auto! Er is een directe trein vanaf het vliegveld naar Amersfoort (30 minuten, zeer comfortabel). Wij werken in de binnenstad, alle hotels in de binnenstad liggen op loopafstand.  Auto's mogen daar niet naar binnen. Het openbaar vervoer is gemakkelijk en betaalbaar en je kunt ook een fiets huren als je er wat meer op uit wilt trekken.
