There is something very emotional about holding handwoven textiles. You can not beat the feel and feeling of a true handloom.

This batch was woven extra thin so a very supple drape. This fabric is semi sheer.

Eri silk is also called Ahimsa, or peace silk because the cocoons are harvested without killing the moth. The name "Eri' is derived from the Assamese word "era", which means "castor", because the silkworm feeds on castor plants. Eri silk has a more woolly feeling than regular commercial silk and has thermal qualities.

No optical brighteners or sizing chemicals used.

Size  60 cm wide and 180 long.

Scarves have already been washed and can be eco-printed without scouring, light mordanting is recommended.
