Experience history with our Londrins Second - 18th century replica broadcloth wool!

This high-quality organic walked (wauked, drap de laine) wool is an authentic reproduction of the material originally designed for export to the Levant in the 18th century, made according to findings from the Herault archives. It even has the telling double blue stripe on the edges.

This Merino wool is from French sheep, mulesing free, grown and produced in France. This is a fabric with a super low carbon footprint.

With a weight of 295 GSM and a width of 155cm, this wool is perfect for historical reproductions of authentic dye recipes from Antoine Janot and Paul Gout. You can see in the added pictures how this wool is the perfect base for super saturated shades for all natural dyes.

Product pictures show the undyed wool and dyed samples.
